Hello Everyone. This challenge was exactly that, a bit of a challenge for me. I tried several different things and thank you to those who gave me tips. I believe it helped a great deal. I think I like the fan shots best.
I used the Shutter Priority for all shots. The ISO was on auto. With the first 3 I tried different shutter speeds to see what would happen.
Photo # 1 - 1/30, f/3.5, ISO 400
Photo #2 - 1/20, f/6.3, ISO 100
Photo #3 - 1/5, f/18, ISO 100
For these 2 I used the longer shutter speed and turned the zoom while the shutter was open.
Photo #4 - 1", f/7.1, ISO 100
Photo #5 - 0.8', f/5.6, ISO 100
Welcome to our photography group! Nice photos, I enjoyed #3 the most. It has a nice composition and it really tells a story to me. I hope you enjoy our photography journey!
ReplyDeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteYou did it. Great job. Looks like a big difference from 1/30th to 1/5sec. but they both work. Depends on the effect you want.
The zoom thing is hard to hold still while zooming.
Good job Robin! I can tell that learning happened in your fan shots! Also great job on the movement shot in #3. I hope you are still enjoying playing with us. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWTG Robin...the fans hots were exactly what I think of as showing movement, but what I really enjoyed, and liked the best was number 3..I love pictures that have anicely focused backgraound with an object moving thru the frame....I also liked the effect with the cat.....very good job and welcome to the group.....
