2014 Challenge #3 - Anything with Orange

Hello Everyone!  Although it may be fall in some parts of the country, today is the first cool day we've had since May.  I just went outside and the temp. is 62 degrees.  I've been waiting all week for this.  I got all my chores and errands done.  Waiting for daylight so I can get out there and enjoy.

This weeks offering is just that . . . weak !  I'm not yet comfortable walking up alone somewhere (like in a store) and taking pictures so I'm sorry to say this is the best I could do.

This week I used the Aperture Priority on all shots.

This is Sunshine my daughter's bearded dragon.  She's more yellow than orange, but pretty cool as long as I don't have to touch her :-)

Photo #1 - f/8, 1/60, ISO 1000

Photo #2 - f/10, 1/40, ISO 100

Photo #3 - f/8, 1/60, ISO 100

Photo #4 - f/25, 1/50, ISO 500

And I added this one because Lynn said I should :-)

  1. Hello Robin, I enjoyed your photos, and my favorite is #4 because it was taken a lower vantage point and is closer to your subject. And yes, your sunset is absolutely gorgeous - to have this view every evening and within walking distance, what more could a person ask for?!

  2. Even though I hate lizards, my favorite shot here is #1 because you are directly across from him. The tree limb cutting diagonally across the picture is also pleasing.

Do you feel like you are getting more "exposure" (LOL - little play on words there) to your camera and the settings you choose?

p.s. - I love that you included the sunset......shooting sunsets is definitely something you do well!!

  3. Hey Robin,
#1 Good setup with Mr. Dragon and branch diagonal in the shot.
The pumpkins are all good quality and composed well. Nice job.
Lynn was right again. I love a good sunset. You don't have much time to mess around with settings. This is so good. The objects in front are sharp in focus and I can still see birds flying by on the horizon.
